The market capitalisation of the top 10 most-valued firms gained a cumulative Rs 70,071 crore on Tuesday, with gains predominantly driven by banking stocks.

Reliance Industries Ltd.'s market capitalisation stood at Rs 16.7 lakh crore, gaining Rs 6,833.9 crore on the day. It was followed by Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., which saw a decline of Rs 8,991 crore in its market cap, bringing the total value to Rs 14.6 lakh crore.

HDFC Bank Ltd. experienced a notable rise in its market cap by Rs 31,049.7 crore, bringing its total value to Rs 12.8 lakh crore. This surge was a significant contributor to the overall market gains in the trading session.

Bharti Airtel Ltd. also posted positive growth, with its market cap increasing by Rs 9,227.3 crore to Rs 9.22 lakh crore. The telecom giant continued to see investor confidence and market momentum.

ICICI Bank Ltd. saw its market cap grow Rs 13,375 crore, bringing its total value to Rs 8.8 lakh crore. The bank’s strong performance added to the upward trend of the banking sector on Tuesday.

Infosys Ltd. gained Rs 3,218 crore, pushing its market cap to Rs 7.6 lakh crore. State Bank of India saw its market cap increase by Rs 2,855.9 crore, bringing its value to Rs 6.72 lakh crore. The public sector bank's strong performance reflected investor optimism in the sector.

Hindustan Unilever Ltd. experienced a slight dip of Rs 939.8 crore, settling at Rs 5.61 lakh crore. Despite the minor setback, HUL remained one of the top players in the market.

ITC Ltd. faced a sharp decline in its market cap, losing Rs 5,818 crore, which brought its value down to Rs 5.45 lakh crore. The loss in value for ITC was one of the biggest drops among the top firms. Bajaj Finance Ltd. surged Rs 19,260.1 crore to Rs 4.71 lakh crore.
