Shares of Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd., Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd., Bright Outdoor Media Ltd., and IFGL Refractories Ltd. will be on market radar on Thursday as it marks the last session for investors to buy shares before the record date for a bonus issue.
Bright Outdoor Media, Samvardhana Motherson, and Motherson Sumi Wiring have announced the issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:2. One bonus equity share will be given for every two equity shares held. The record date is set as July 18.
IFGL Refractories will give one bonus share for every one held. The deemed date of allotment of bonus shares will be July 17. The bonus shares will be made available for trade on July 18.
To be eligible for a bonus issue, investors should pay attention to the record date, which is used to determine eligible shareholders. The company announces this date in advance, and only those who hold the shares in their demat account as of this record date will be eligible for the bonus allotment.
Under India's T+1 settlement cycle, investors must buy the shares at least one trading day before the record date to be eligible. This means that purchases made on the record date itself will not reflect in the demat account in time.
The deemed date of allotment of bonus shares for Samvardhana Motherson, Motherson Sumi Wiring, Bright Outdoor Media will be Monday, July 21, 2025, and these bonus shares will be made available for trading on the next working day of allotment i.e., Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
