Two foreign portfolio investors of PNB Housing Finance Ltd. sold stakes worth Rs 1,004 crore through open market transactions on Thursday. The buyers include BNP Paribas Financial Markets and Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte-ODI.
Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) Ltd. and General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII Pte. divested 2.45% each, according to bulk deal data on the NSE. While Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) sold 63.79 lakh shares at Rs 786.46 per share, General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII offloaded shares at Rs 787.88 apiece.
As of March, Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) held a 9.88% stake in the housing finance company and General Atlantic Singapore Fund held 9.82%.
On the other hand, BNP Paribas Financial Markets bought a 1.1% stake at Rs 785 apiece. Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte-ODI bought 22.85 lakh shares at Rs 785 apiece.
On May 29, both Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) and General Atlantic Singapore Fund divested over 2.23% of each other for an aggregate amount of Rs 844 crore. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 727.36 apiece.
Shares of Piramal Enterprises closed 5.43% lower at Rs 794.40 per share, as compared with a 0.22% advance in the NSE Nifty 50.
