Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Naveen Jindal won from the Lok Sabha constituency of Kurukshetra in Haryana by 29,021 votes, according to the data from the Election Commission of India.
Jindal bagged 5.42 lakh votes, while the Aam Aadmi Party's Sushil Gupta got 5.13 lakh votes.
The constituency, comprising nine Vidhan Sabha seats—Radaur, Ladwa, Shahbad (SC), Thanesar, Pehowa, Guhla (SC), Kalayat, Kaithal, and Pundri—participated in the sixth phase of the elections by voting on May 25. The constituency saw a voter turnout of 67.01%.
The seat had been won by BJP in the last two elections—2019 and 2014. In 2019, Nayab Singh Saini won against Congress' Nirmal Singh. In 2014, BJP's Raj Kumar Saini won against INLD candidate Balbir Saini.
