The government has appointed former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das as Principal Secretary-2 to Prime Minister, as per a notification on Saturday.
Das’s six-year term as the governor of RBI came to an end in December last year. Das, during his term as the RBI governor, steered the economy through some of the biggest challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic.
