Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of commercial LPG gas cylinders, with the new rates effective from July 1. The cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has been reduced by over Rs 58.50.
In Delhi, the price for commercial LPG cylinder will now be Rs 1,665 from the earlier Rs 1,723.50, according to data on the Indian Oil Corp. website. The price in Mumbai has been reduced to Rs 1,616.50 from the earlier price of Rs 1,674.50.
The price in Kolkata is now Rs 1,769, while in Chennai it has come down to Rs 1,823.50.
This is the fourth consecutive time that gas prices have been reduced. Earlier on June 1, oil companies had reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 24, while on May 1 the price was reduced by Rs 14.50. On April 1 also, the price of commercial cylinder was reduced by Rs 41.
While, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders of 14.2 kg will remain unchanged. The 14.2 kg LPG cylinder is available for Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 852.50 in Mumbai, Rs 879 in Kolkata and Rs 868.50 in Chennai.
