Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. has emerged as a cornerstone of India’s trade infrastructure, handling a record 450 million metric tonnes of cargo this year, Chairman Gautam Adani said at the company’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday.
Calling Adani Ports the “beating heart of India’s trade”, Adani outlined a vision that goes beyond traditional port operations. “With marine, trucking, warehousing, and even freight forwarding, we are creating a transport utility for the future,” he stated, underlining the group’s ambition to offer seamless, multimodal logistics solutions.
He further added that this is in alignment with the Honourable Prime Minister’s Gati Shakti Mission.
By strengthening the country’s integrated transport ecosystem, the group aims to reduce operational friction and support MSME exporters, who form the backbone of India’s manufacturing and export base.
Adani Ports is investing across the logistics value chain to provide end-to-end solutions, enhance operational efficiency, and improve cost competitiveness for Indian businesses.
APSEZ has set a target of handling 1 billion tonnes of cargo by FY30, more than 2 times the FY25 number. Beyond its port operations, the company has also laid out ambitious plans to expand its logistics and marine businesses.
