Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has drawn strong reactions from across the film industry after early screenings on March 18, with several actors and filmmakers sharing their views on social media.

The film released in theatres on March 19 following paid previews that collected about Rs 44 crore, even as some regions reported cancellations due to technical issues. Despite this, responses from early viewers within the industry point to sustained interest ahead of its wider run.

The early reactions, largely shared online by actors and filmmakers who attended premiere shows, highlight performances, direction and technical work, signalling how the film is being received within the industry before broader audience feedback settles.

Actor Preity Zinta shared her response after watching the film. “Just watched Dhurandhar 2 & all I wanna say is ‘Revenge ho toh Dhurandhar jaisa ho warna na ho.' Direction, Acting, music, editing, story, casting & every other department is MINDBLOWING,” she wrote. She added, “The first thing mom said after watching the movie was that she wanted to see it again in the Theater with her friends & I feel exactly the same.”

She also said, “@AdityaDharFilms, you have turned me into a fan girl & I love it. Thank you for this incredibly immersive experience. Your skill, your talent and most of all your heart is in the right place. @RanveerOfficial, You have my heart. What a stunning performance. What range, what depth, what sincerity.”

Zinta added, “@ActorMadhavan, you know how I felt about your flawless performance earlier & to be honest that goes for the entire cast. @bolbedibol, what timing, @duttsanjay, what swag, so much sweetness & sincerity Sara Arjun & last but not the least @rampalarjun, you have hit it out of the park again.” She concluded, “Finally, I wanna say #JaiHind to every unknown man & woman out there. Actor Allu Arjun also shared his response. “Just Watched #Dhurandhar2 Patriotism with swag. A film that will make every patriot proud Many clap-trapping moments BLAST! Congratulations to the entire team. Fine performances by @ActorMadhavan garu & all actors. Technical brilliance,” he wrote.

He added, “So proud to have a brilliant and a versatile actor like my brother @RanveerOfficial in our country. RVS on fire… @AdityaDharFilms garu hit the ball out of the park.”

Responding to the post, R. Madhavan wrote, “I'm so humbled touched and hyper motivated. This means so much coming from you, my dear brother… this being the first review online is super super special to me at a pivotal point in my career in life.”

Actor Vijay Deverakonda also posted about the film, writing, “Tomorrow onwards – something big is going to happen in Indian cinema and culture. 4 words. ‘Bharat Maata ki JAI!' Immense love and respect to the entire cast and crew.”

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma shared his reaction, stating, “All who saw #Dhurandhar2 today told me that they just don't LOVE #Dhurandhar2, but they actually want to MARRY #Dhurandhar2.”

In an earlier post, he wrote that the film's “cumulative impact” would be significant across collections, audience response and cinematic presentation.

Ananya Panday said she was “blown away” and called the film a must-watch. Comedian Tanmay Bhat reacted with salute emojis.

Actor Shilpa Shetty, who attended a screening, told the media that the film is “superb” and said Ranveer Singh has “set the screen on fire.”
