Celebrity designer Manish Malhotra has joined hands with non-governmental organisation Family of Disabled to create custom shawls for the upcoming wedding of Jeet Adani and Diva Shah, as per NDTV.

Jeet Adani — son of industrialist and Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani — will marry Shah in Ahmedabad on Friday.

Family of Disabled is an organisation dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through skill-based opportunities. Jeet Adani and Shah have infused their wedding celebrations with social impact, ensuring that their special day highlights causes close to their hearts.

Malhotra, known for his craftsmanship and ability to blend tradition with contemporary style, has worked closely with FOD artisans to design these shawls. This partnership blends high fashion with social impact, ensuring that fashion and inclusivity go hand in hand, according to the report.

Jeet Adani, known for his long-standing commitment to supporting people with disabilities, conceived the idea of weaving this cause into his wedding. By giving a platform to artisans and people with disabilities, the couple aims to ensure that their work is recognised and appreciated on a grand scale.

Beyond the shawls, the wedding will serve as a tribute to India's rich tradition of craftsmanship. Various NGOs and artisans have been engaged to contribute unique elements to the celebrations, according to the report.

Apart from custom shawls, Family of Disabled is also crafting hand-painted wedding essentials, including glassware, plates and accessories. Chennai-based Kai Rassi is assisting with digital designs that complement the intricate hand-painted artwork, as per NDTV report.

Artisans from across India have been commissioned to add personal and cultural significance to the festivities.

The wedding will feature hand-crafted beaded jewellery by Nikita from Ahmedabad, intricate glass decor by Munna and his daughter from Firozabad, and Paithani sarees for wedding guests woven by artisans from Nashik.

Additionally, Nitaben from Mundra is creating mud work murals, while traditional bangles from Bibaji Choori Wala in Jodhpur will further enhance the wedding's decor.
