Google has quite openly and brashly mocked Apple iPhone’s delayed AI features (particularly Siri’s AI integration) in a new teaser for the upcoming Pixel 10 series.

The teaser — a little brutally to be honest — takes a dig at iPhones with the following narration:

“If you buy a new phone because of a feature that’s coming soon…

But, it’s been coming soon for a full year…

You could change your definition of soon.

Or you could just…

change your phone.”

The 30-second video titled “Google Pixel 10 | Soon” was posted to the “Made by Google” YouTube channel and features an instrumental rendition of “The Next Episode” by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. That serves as another jab to Apple, considering the company acquired Beats Electronics by Dr. Dre.

Google Pixel 10 Teaser Hits Apple Where It Hurts The Most

The Pixel 10 teaser attempts to pinch Apple where it hurts the most. Apple’s AI features have been on the horizon since over a year, when they were first announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference in 2024. When revealing the iPhone 16 last September, Apple mentioned that these features would be included with the new phone.

Of particular interest was AI integration with Siri. The AI-powered assistant would have utilised user data to provide relevant information. It would also have onscreen awareness, which would enable it to act based on what’s visible on the phone. Siri would also be capable of performing actions within apps.

Sadly, Apple Intelligence rollout has been staggered throughout the past year, and Siri’s AI overhaul will only come to users in 2026 (if there aren’t any further delays).

On the contrary, at Google I/O this year, the company unveiled a host of new AI features, most of which will be included in the Pixel 10 series. Many agentic AI features have already been launched with Google’s Gemini AI assistant.

Small wonder then that the Pixel 10 teaser openly urges users to either change their definition of “soon” — for features that never seem to arrive in a phone (iPhone in this case) — or buy a phone that has those features (Pixel 10 in this case).
