Fans of Grand Theft Auto VI are getting hyped at the thought that rapper Travis Scott may be making an appearance in the highly anticipated title.
A frame in Scott’s latest music video is leading GTA 6 fans to believe that Scott will be part of the franchise. The speculation has gained traction after Scott featured a subtle reference — a GTA 6 license plate — in his new music video for “2000 Excursion”.
Near the conclusion of the video, at precisely 3 minutes and 55 seconds, there is a brief scene that seems to allude to GTA 6. Scott is seen beside a Ferrari that has the license plate “GTA VI6”.
Travis Scott In GTA 6: Hype Or Real?
While this frame could simply be Scott’s way of acknowledging the much-hyped title, fans think it’s more than that. They believe that Scott is hinting at his appearance in GTA 6.
Scott isn’t the only rapper linked to the title. Fan theories hold weight as rapper T-Pain has already stated he is collaborating with Rockstar Games for a potential role in GTA 6.
In June, rapper Jermaine Dupri asserted that Drake is under consideration for a dedicated radio station in the game. A few months ago, an insider even suggested that DJ Khaled would host his own radio station in the game. With Scott dropping the Easter egg, he might well be partnering with Rockstar as well.
However, it ain't that easy.
Rockstar won’t want anyone to spill the beans early and ruin the surprise before an official announcement is made. Any actor or musician associated with GTA 6 will probably be bound by a strict non-disclosure agreement.
Which means that either the GTA 6 number plate is aimed at purely generating buzz, hype, and chatter over Scott’s video, or it’s part of Rockstar’s own sneaky way of hinting at the partnership.
Until it comes straight from the horse’s mouth, take it with a pinch of salt!
