Computex 2025 kicked off May 20 at the Taipei Music Center in Taiwan. One of the largest computer and technology trade shows in the world, the event will run through May 23, showing cutting-edge technologies from brands from the world over.

Here’s a look at Computex Day 1 highlights.

Jensen Huang Talks ‘AI Infrastructure Factories’

Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang kicked off the event with his keynote, sharing his vision of an artificial intelligence-powered future. “AI is now infrastructure, and this infrastructure, just like the internet, just like electricity, needs factories. These factories are essentially what we build today,” Huang said. He also spoke about quantum supercomputing, agentic AI, and how Nvidia Blackwell is powering the AI ecosystem.

Physical And Humanoid Robots

Nvidia has collaborated with DeepMind and Disney to create Newton—a sophisticated physics training engine for robotics—to make physical robots at speed, Huang announced. Huang also unveiled tools to hasten the creation of humanoid robots: Isaac GR00T-Dreams blueprint for creating synthetic training data and Isaac GR00T N1.5 Humanoid Robot Foundation Model to support robotic intelligence.

Speeding Up AI Chip Communication

Nvidia introduced a technology that will interconnect AI chips and provide faster chip-to-chip communication. Huang introduced NVLink Fusion, an architecture that uses Nvidia's NVLink connectivity to let companies build custom AI solutions.

Asus ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG: World’s Fastest Gaming Monitor

Asus showcased the Strix Ace XG248, calling it the “world’s fastest gaming monitor”. The monitor has an incredible 610 610Hz refresh rate and delivers an unbelievable 164 frames of gameplay.

Asus ROG Omni Case Mod: PC-Turned-Robot

At Computex, Asus also showed how a gaming PC can be turned into a walking robot. The ROG Omni Case Mod uses the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics processing unit along with an Intel Core Ultra 5-245K central processing unit and was seen walking around the show floor.

Snapdragon X2 PCs On The Horizon?

There was no preview of the next-generation Snapdragon X CPUs during the Qualcomm keynote, but CEO Cristiano Amon hinted at a significant announcement at the Snapdragon Summit 2025 in September. It appears that early 2026 could see the arrival of PCs with Snapdragon X2 technology.

Foxconn’s Nurabot: AI-Powered Nursing Care

Foxconn and Kawasaki Heavy Industries have collaborated to develop a nursing robot known as Nurabot. Nurabot illustrates how AI and robots can relieve the strain on clinical teams. It is created to address nurse fatigue and staff shortages, which are expected to affect 4.5 million nurses worldwide by 2030.

MSI Unveils Claw A8 BZ2EM

MSI unveiled Claw A8 BZ2EM, the most recent version of its Claw PC gaming handheld. Powered by an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor with up to 24GB of DDR5 memory, it also has features an 8-inch full HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1TB M.2 SSD.
