About Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Price, Leaks, Features, Rival, And More

South Korean technology giant Samsung is set to add a new smartphone to the Samsung Galaxy S25 series: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The S25 series was launched at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 and one of the most exciting part came when the company rolled out the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge teaser. It reminded of the famous Apple catchphrase, "One more thing...", that the company used at its events to launch a surprise product.

Through the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, the company intends to deliver a slim and lightweight design without reducing its processing capabilities. This S25 Edge launch is expected in May 2025 and it will likely come in the wake of the launch of the much anticipated iPhone SE 4. However, its real competition is expected to be with another Apple smartphone that is expected to be launched in a thin and stylish avatar during the Fall season - the rumoured iPhone 17 Air.

The upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge model will have a slim design. In fact, earlier, the smartphone was referred to as the Galaxy S25 "Slim", but Samsung has actually teased it at the event with the "Edge" moniker. We now know the S25 Edge will have two cameras arranged in an oval module which differs from the triple-camera setup of the regular Galaxy S25 models. 

The Galaxy S25 Edge will appeal most to users who want a very light mobile phone that does not hang heavy in their pockets. Compromises will have to be made by users as certain features will need adjustments to keep the device slim. Considering the reactions of those attending the launch event, it is clear many were more impressed with it than with the other smartphones that were actually launched by Samsung.

Multiple sources say the Galaxy S25 Edge will hit stores in May 2025. It is expected to get the first-mover advantage over the upcoming iPhone 17 Air, which is likely to have an Autumn launch.

While Samsung has not made its planned price public, analysts and insiders have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge model may cost less than Rs. 80,999, which is the starting rate for the Galaxy S25 base version.
