Banks are offering fixed deposit schemes with competitive interest rates until March 31. These special schemes provide higher returns compared to regular FDs, making them an attractive option for investors looking to maximise their savings.
However, the deadline to avail of these enhanced rates is fast approaching. Here are special FD schemes offered by six banks:
State Bank of India
Amrit Vrishti FD: This scheme has a tenure of 444 days, offering an interest rate of 7.25% for general investors and 7.75% for senior citizens. It remains available until March 31.
Amrit Kalash FD: For a 400-day term, this FD provides an interest rate of 7.10% for general investors and 7.60% for senior citizens. This offer is also valid until March 31.
IDBI Bank – Utsav Callable FD
IDBI Bank’s special Utsav Callable FD offers varying interest rates based on the deposit tenure. As of Jan. 13, the interest rates for fixed deposits under special buckets vary based on the depositor category.
For general, NRE and NRO accounts, the rates range from 7.05% for 300-day deposits to 7.4% for 555-day deposits, with other tenures such as 375 days, 444 days and 700 days offering 7.25%, 7.35%, and 7.2%, respectively.
Senior citizens receive higher rates, ranging from 7.55% for 300 days to 7.9% for 555 days, while super senior citizens enjoy even better returns, with rates peaking at 8.05% for 555-day deposits.
The last date to invest in this scheme is March 31.
Indian Bank – Special FD Schemes
Indian Bank is offering two special FD schemes:
IND Super (400 Days) And IND Supreme (300 Days)
For the Ind Super fixed deposit scheme with a 400-day tenure, the interest rates stand at 7.3% for the general public, 7.8% for senior citizens and 8.05% for super senior citizens.
The Ind Supreme fixed deposit scheme for 300 days offers rates of 7.05% for the general public, 7.55% for senior citizens and 7.8% for super senior citizens.
Both schemes are open for investment until March 31.
