The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday sent at least 12 companies of CAPFs to Leh to control the situation on the ground, as per an India dot com report. It further added that, Out of the 12 companies, four CRPF companies have already reached, and four more will arrive on Thursday.

Now try to imagine how betrayed & disappointed we in J&K feel when the promise of statehood to J&K remains unfulfilled even though we have gone about demanding it democratically, peacefully & responsibly."

Ladakh Protest Live: Activist Sonam Wangchuk Under Fire
The government blamed activist Sonam Wangchuk for clashes in Ladakh that resulted in four dead 70. "In spite of many leaders urging to call off the hunger strike, he continued with it and misled the people through provocative mentions of Arab Spring-style protest and references to Gen Z protests in Nepal," the Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement seen by NDTV.
