News Live Update: Bhavish Aggarwal Top-Ups Collateral To Maintain Share Pledge
Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric Mobility Ltd., paid about Rs 20 crore in cash to top up collateral for borrowings against shares as the stock slid on poor sales.
Aggarwal had raised Rs 250 crore for his generative AI venture Krutrim Data Center Pvt. by pledging Ola Electric equity, and voluntarily put in the extra money since March as the shares dipped below Rs 50 each.
Ola Electric's market share has shrunk to 18% in May from over 48% last year, amid regulatory and governance concerns, with its shares falling about 35% since it listed at Rs 76 in August.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the stampede that occurred during celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL win. The incident reportedly resulted in deaths of 11 people.
The chaos began after a crowd gathered near M Chinnaswamy Stadium for a felicitation of the team, held by the Karnataka State Cricket Association.
"I don't want to defend this incident. Our government will not do politics on this. I have ordered a magisterial inquiry and given 15 days' time," Siddaramaiah said.
