Good morning!

The GIFT Nifty traded rose 0.3% to 24,168 at 8:45 a.m., signalling a muted start for the Nifty 50.

Asian shares declined at the open after US President Donald Trump stepped up his criticism of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, raising questions about the central bank’s autonomy and triggering a selloff in American markets.

Back home, India's benchmark equity indices gained for the fourth consecutive session on Monday and closed at their highest since early January. Mahindra Logistics, Pitti Engineering, Tata Investment, among others, announced their quarterly results after trading hours on Monday. Other corporate developments included Tata Power’s renewable tie-up, HUL’s acquisition of Minimalist, Paytm Money’s rate revision, and a safeguard duty on steel imports.
