Bharat Electronics Ltd., Tata Consumer Products Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., Adani Enterprises Ltd. and Eternal Ltd. emerged as the top gainers of the NSE Nifty 50 on Friday.
Bharti Airtel Ltd., HCL Technologies Ltd., State Bank of India, JSW Steel Ltd. and Infosys Ltd. were the biggest laggards among the Nifty 50 stocks.
BEL was the best performer, closing 3.85% higher at Rs 363.9 apiece. Bajaj Auto closed 1.88% up at Rs 8,482.50. Adani Enterprises also had a strong close at Rs 2,555 apiece. TCPL and Zomato parent Eternal were also among Friday's winners.
Airtel was the biggest loser, closing 2.85% lower. HCLTech, Infosys, JSW Steel and SBI were also among the losers.
The benchmark equity indices closed lower on Friday after rallying for two consecutive sessions. The NSE Nifty 50 closed 42.30 points or 0.17% lower at 25,019.8 and the BSE Sensex ended 200.15 points 0.24% down at 82,330.59.
