NBCC To Trade Ex-Dividend Tuesday — Today Is The Last Day To Buy Shares For Eligibility

State-run construction company NBCC (India) Ltd. has announced an interim dividend for eligible shareholders, following the release of its third quarter earnings. The company's board, in its meeting held on Feb. 11, declared an interim dividend of Rs 0.53 per share (that is 53%) of Rs 1 each, for fiscal 2025.

The record date for this interim dividend payout is Tuesday, Feb. 18. Payments will be completed within the period mandated by the Companies Act 2013, NBCC said in an exchange filing.

The company had earlier announced Feb. 14 as the record date for the dividend payout, but later revised it to Feb. 18. 

"Pursuant to Regulation 29 & 42 of the Listing Regulations 2015, the Company has revised the record date and fixed Tuesday, February 18, 2025 as new Record Date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend on equity shares for the Financial Year 2024-25, if declared by the Board in their meeting to be held on February 11, 2025 (Tuesday)," the company said. 

A 'Navratna' public sector undertaking, NBCC is a construction company focused on project management consultancy, engineering, procurement and construction and real estate.

NBCC Q3 Earnings

NBCC India Ltd. released its Q3 earnings last week, posting a sharp 25% jump in its consolidated net profit. The company's net profit stood at Rs 138.5 crore in the October-December period, against Rs 110.7 crore in the year-ago period. 

Revenues grew 17% year-on-year to Rs 2,827 crore in the third quarter, from Rs 2,423.5 crore in the year-ago quarter. 

Ebitda stood at Rs 142.5 crore, marking a 21% YoY jump from Rs 117.3 crore in Q3 of the last financial year. 

Margin expanded 20 basis points to 5% versus 4.8% in the same period last year. 

NBCC secured work orders worth Rs 15,559 crore during the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024. This included a Rs 9,445-crore order for 16 projects of Supertech and a Rs 1,726-crore order for the redevelopment of Junta House, Government of Goa.

The shares of NBCC were trading flat at Rs 81.84 apiece on the NSE as of 11 a.m. on Monday, as compared to a 0.2% drop in benchmark NSE Nifty 50.
