The Indian rupee ended higher against the U.S. dollar.
The local currency rose seven paise to end at 82.71 against the greenback after it opened at 82.72 on Tuesday. It closed at 82.79 on Monday.
The rupee had hit a record low of 83.29 on Oct. 20
