The Adani group stocks led the rally in Friday's trading session as the stock market opened on a positive note. The NSE Nifty 50 rose by 1.32% to 22,695.40 and the BSE Sensex climbed 1.34% to 74,835.49.
This surge comes in the wake of US President Donald Trump's announcement of a 90-day pause on tariffs for over 75 countries, including India, which has not retaliated against the recent US levies.
Leading the charge among the top gainers in the group was Adani Green Energy Ltd., which soared nearly 5% to reach Rs 903.4, and Adani Enterprises Ltd., which followed closely with a 4.77% increase to Rs 2,343.5.
New Delhi Television Ltd. also saw a significant rise, climbing 4.3% to Rs 119.3. Adani Total Gas Ltd. recorded a 3.76% increase, reaching Rs 601.2, while Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones Ltd. rose by 3.34% to Rs 1169.6. ACC Ltd. and Adani Power Ltd. also posted gains of 3.14% and 3.12%, respectively.

The broader market sentiment was buoyed by the positive development in the ongoing imposition of US tariffs, with all sectors trading higher at market open.
Gains were led by Nifty Pharma and Nifty Metal. Adani Energy Ltd. saw a 3.1% rise to Rs 863.35, while Sanghi Industries Ltd. had the smallest gain among the listed stocks, increasing by 1.35% to Rs 61.78.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump announced that during this interim reprieve, his administration will impose a 10% import tariff. This is notably lower than the 25-50% tariffs announced last week on several economies, especially those in South and East Asia.
