Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut holds 50 LIC policies, with a cumulative sum assured of Rs 5 crore, shows the affidavit filed with her nomination for Lok Sabha elections 2024. The Queen protagonist owns movable assets worth Rs 28.7 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 62.9 crore, according to the document filed Tuesday.
Ranaut's taxable income witnessed a substantial reduction between the financial years 2019 and 2023. In 2018-19, her taxable income stood at Rs 12 crore, whereas it notably decreased to Rs 4 crore in 2022-23.
The actor's cash in hand stands at Rs 2 lakh and a bank balance of Rs 1.35 crore. She has a debt of Rs 17 crore, comprising Rs 10 crore in home loans and Rs 5 crore in business loans, as per the affidavit.
Real Estate Investments
Ranaut's real estate ventures span across the country, with significant holdings in Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Manali. She boasts ownership of four commercial units in Chandigarh, and commercial properties in Mumbai, and Manali. The actor also possesses three flats in Mumbai valued at Rs 16 crore and a sprawling bungalow in Manali worth Rs 15 crore. The combined value of her commercial property stands at over Rs 26.7 crore. Meanwhile, the combined current market value of her residential and commercial property stands around Rs 63 crore.
LIC Portfolio
Among the notable revelations is Ranaut's extensive investment in LIC policies, totaling 50 policies in her name, with each policy insured for Rs 10 lakh. The actor also does not have any investments in the stock market, mutual funds or direct holdings in equities.
Gold And Silver
In terms of tangible assets, Ranaut's affidavit discloses her possession of 6.7 kg of gold jewellery, valued at approximately Rs 5 crore. The actor also holds 60 kg of silver, which amounts to approximately Rs 50 lakh. The silver held by Ranaut is in the form of jewellery and utensils.
Luxury Cars
The most luxurious set of wheels in Ranaut's garage is a Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 4M, valued at Rs 3.91 crore. She also owns a BMW 730LD valued at Rs 98 lakh and a Mercedes Benz 250 D 4Matic valued at Rs 58 lakh.
Along with the high-end cars, she also owns a Vespa scooter, with a price tag just shy of Rs 54,000.
