Zomato Ltd. has launched Nugget, an AI-powered customer support platform for restaurants, as part of the company's plans to unveil a suite of tools for businesses.
"Introducing Nugget—an AI-native, no-code customer support platform. Nugget helps businesses scale support effortlessly—highly customisable, low-cost, no dev team needed," Zomato Founder and Chief Executive Officer Deepinder Goyal wrote on X.
To be sure, Nugget was built three years ago and is already being deployed as the internal customer support tool for Eternal's group companies -- Zomato, Blinkit and Hyperpure.
"Nugget now powers over 15 million support interactions/month for Zomato, Blinkit & Hyperpure. We’re now opening it up to businesses worldwide—90% of companies who’ve seen Nugget have signed up," Goyal added.
He said Nugget is the first product from Zomato Labs, which is the company's in-house incubator, adding that more launches are coming soon.
Nugget's launch marks the first step Zomato is taking to diversify into the software-as-a-service space, with SaaS tools targeted at businesses of all sizes. The company already offers Hyperpure as a service for restaurants, to help with fresh supplies.
