Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd. announced on Wednesday that it has secured a domestic solar project valued at Rs 232.3 crore.
The project involves a 170-megawatt solar power plant, which will be implemented on a turnkey basis. It encompasses comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction services, along with long-term operation and maintenance support, according to a statement by the company.
WRTL has received a letter of award for the development of a ground-mounted solar power plant with an installed capacity of 170 MW AC/255 MW DC, the statement noted.
The project will contribute significantly to carbon offset efforts, reducing an estimated 225,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, which is equivalent to removing nearly 50,000 fossil fuel-powered cars from the roads each year.
