Paytm's Chief Executive Officer Vijay Shekhar Sharma on Friday showered praise on Anand Mahindra for building an 'irresistible EV'. In a post on X, Sharma shared a screenshot of his booking confirmation for the newly launched Mahindra XEV 9e electric vehicle.
Mahindra opened the booking for the latest addition to its EV lineup — BE 6 and XEV 9e — today. The cars, unveiled by the company in November last year, had garnered much attention for their head-turner looks and features.
The Paytm boss has booked the top-end variant of the XEV 9e EV. "Congratulations, Anand Mahindra sir, for making an irresistible EV!" Vijay Shekhar Sharma wrote on X.
Vijay Shekhar Sharma, earlier, shared a screenshot of the countdown for opening the bookings for the new EVs, showcasing his excitement to get his hands on the car.
"Waiting for this," he wrote.
Mahindra XEV 9e
Based on Mahindra’s INGLO Electric Origin architecture, Mahindra XEV 9e offers a 2775mm wheelbase with a ground clearance of 207mm. The vehicle is 4789mm in length. The XEV also claims to offer 1617 litres of front cabin space – claimed to be the best in the segment – while headroom is 1006mm, with the legroom being 1055mm.
The dashboard of the 2024 XEV 9e sports a three-screen setup with tech powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Mahindra XEV 9e sports a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS suite, 65W USB Type-C charging ports, and rear AC vents. The interior has a white and black theme.
On the outside, the car has a coupe-SUV body shape with heavily flared wheel arches finished in glossy black and triangular LED headlamps. Vertical LED DRLs dominate the front facia and the wheel sizes are in the range of 19 inches to 20 inches. It gets the signature Mahindra-connected taillamps at the rear.
The complete XEV 9e range gets ABS with EBD, traction control, and ISOFIX child seat mounting points as standard. Other safety features offerings include a reverse parking camera, EPB, 360-degree camera and seven airbags.
The car is priced at Rs 21.9 lakh ex-showroom for the base — Pack One (59 KWh battery) — variant and goes further up to Rs 30.5 lakh for the Pack Three (79 kWh battery) which Vijay Shekhar Sharma has booked.
The Mahindra BE 6, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 18.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Pack One (59kWh battery. The top-end variant of the car – Pack Three (79 kWh battery) comes with a price tag of Rs 26.9 lakh.
