Zepto Café, a quick commerce application for food and beverages, is now handling 100,000 orders every day, according to a post by co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Aadit Palicha on 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) .
"That's closing in on a $100 million annual gross merchandise value with an approximately 50% steady-state gross margin," Palicha said.
The CEO of the quick commerce company also said that he saw this as bringing forth a "revolution" in the quick-service restaurant industry.
"It hasn't been easy to get Café the ground and many challenges are still work-in-progress, but I believe this is the beginning of a revolution in India's QSR industry," he added.
The company announced on Feb. 5 that it would be offering test drives services within 10 minutes in partnership with Skoda, according to a post on LinkedIn from Aadit Palicha.
Due to a cryptic post on social media application 'Instagram' from the firm the previous day, there were widespread speculations that Zepto might also start delivering automobiles.
Palicha took to LinkedIn to clarify that the company was only offering test drives for now.
Zepto also reported the completion of a reverse merger on Jan. 28, after The National Company Law Tribunal approved the merger of Singapore-based Kiranakart with Kiranakart Technologies Ltd. This action moves Zepto's holding company domicile to India.
