Adani Defence played a pivotal role in Operation Sindoor, a high-stakes military mission carried out by Indian forces last month, to dismantle terrorist infrastructure across the border.
Speaking at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, confirmed that both drones and anti-drone systems deployed during the operation were developed by Adani Defence and Aerospace.
“When it comes to Adani Defence – Operation Sindoor called, and we delivered,” said Adani. “Our drones became the eyes in the skies as well as the swords of attack, and our anti-drone systems helped protect our forces and citizens. We don’t operate in safe zones. We operate where it matters – where India needs us the most.”
Operation Sindoor was launched following the brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
In retaliation, Indian forces executed a series of precision strikes, targeting nine terrorist infrastructure bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Over 100 terrorists were reportedly neutralised.
As tensions escalated, Pakistan responded with missile and drone incursions, attempting to provoke a broader conflict. However, the Indian armed forces, aided by Adani’s advanced anti-drone systems, successfully intercepted and neutralised the threats.
The company’s drone technology, used for both surveillance and tactical strikes, provided critical operational support during the mission. The anti-drone systems, meanwhile, proved effective in countering airborne threats — showcasing the company’s growing role in India’s defence modernisation efforts.
