Speaking to NDTV Profit on the sidelines of V 6 & V 7 launch, Pham Sanh Chau VinFast's Asia MD and CEO expects good response from customers. "Expect Indian customers will get a good idea about VinFast after this launch as we are offering a good value. We are providing 3 years free maintenance, 3 years free charging and 8-10 years warranty," said Chau.

VinFast's current manufacturing capacity in the Tuticorin plant stands at 50,000 cars annually, but the company plans to scale it up in the years to come. "We are preparing for necessary conditions to increase output to 150,000 units per year. In the later stage, we plan to have 300,000 units annual manufacturing capacity," said Chau.

The company also sees a great potential from India. Speaking on the same VinFast's Asia MD told NDTV Profit that it is already in talks with countries around India. "We have received first order from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Mauritius and we are working with these countries for exporting from India. Want to export from India to Middle East and Africa in the long term," added Chau
