Bajaj Auto's domestic two-wheeler sales plunged 16% in June, even as exports managed to register growth. The company sold 1,49,317 two-wheelers last month, compared to 1,77,207 in June 2024.
On a year-to-date basis, the company's sales are down 9%.
In June, exports jumped 18% from 1,26,439 units to 1,49,167 units in the same month last year. For the year so far, overseas sales were up 14%.
On a combined basis, Bajaj's two-wheeler sales declined 2% in June and remained flat for the first six months.
Domestic sales of domestic commercial vehicles like three-wheelers was flat in the previous month while exports rose 49%.
Overall, Bajaj Auto's June sales declined 13% domestically and rose 21% in terms of exports.
Bajaj Auto share price ended 0.24% higher at Rs 8,396.6 apiece on the BSE, compared to 0.11% advance in the benchmark Sensex. The June sales data came duringh market hours. The stock has fallen 12% in the last 12 months and 4% so far this year.
Out of 45 analysts tracking the company, 23 maintain a 'buy' rating, 15 recommend a 'hold' and seven suggest 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month consensus price target implies a potential upside of 11%.
