Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was joined in by his predecessors Steve Ballmer and Bill Gates for an interview with Copilot, the US tech giant's generative artificial intelligence chatbot, to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary.

During the conversation, Nadella asked the Copilot chatbot to wrap up their discussion by giving the three Microsoft leaders an “AI roast”. In response, Copilot humorously teased them, questioning their perspective, thoughtful gazes, and deep passion for AI.

In a video shared by Nadella on X (formerly Twitter), Copilot is seen engaging with the three tech legends. “Let's spice it up,” it responds after Nadella asks for an AI roast.

Referring to Ballmer, Copilot questions his enthusiasm, jokingly wondering if his energy might "short-circuit" the system. “Steve, your enthusiasm is legendary. But do you ever worry that your energy might short-circuit the AI?” the AI said.

To this, Ballmer quipped that if the AI can't handle his intensity, it can't handle the world. “Come on, dude. If you can't handle me, you can't handle a huge percentage of the world's population,” the former Microsoft CEO said.

Following this, the AI asks Gates about his signature thoughtful gaze, and wonders if it intimidates the system. “But do you ever think the AI might feel intimidated by your intense thinking face? I mean, it's like it's waiting for a blue screen moment,” Copilot asked Gates.

“I hope so. I mean, it's all I've got left is these AIs get so damn intelligent. It's just that gaze and my willingness to criticise that differentiates me,” Gates responds.

In conclusion, the AI bot humorously questions Satya Nadella about his connection with AI, asking if he ever worries that AI might “take over” someday. To this, Satya jokes that AI can take charge when it can play cricket as well as the best players.

“You know, the day AI can play like the best cricket player that I enjoy, that's the day it can run the show,” Nadella told Copilot.
