Semiconductor chip companies' stocks continued trading higher on Monday, continuing their rebound momentum from Thursday and Friday, having traded lower prior to those dates owing to the US Federal Reserve hiking the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points.

The chip stocks remained resilient depsite China's DRAM chipmaker CXMT announcing on Sunday that its new fifth-generation memory chip platform has entered mass production. It is expected to make memory chip manufacturing cheaper and consume less power.
