Jamia Millia Islamia's Residential Coaching Academy (JMI – RCA) is set to launch the online application procedure for its Civil Services Coaching Programme 2026–27 starting April 1. The entrance examination for gaining entry to the complimentary residential coaching programme is scheduled for June 6, 2026.
Aspiring candidates can submit their applications via the official admission portal at admission.jmi.ac.in within the designated timeframe.

Step 1: Visit the official Jamia RCA admission portal: admission.jmi.ac.in.
Step 2: Open the RCA Admissions page for the Civil Services coaching programme.
Step 3: Click New User Registration and create your login with basic details, mobile number, email, and password.

Step 4: Log in and fill the online application form carefully with your personal, academic, and category details.
Step 5: Upload the required documents and choose the correct coaching programme.
Step 6: Pay the application fee of ₹1,200 plus applicable bank charges and submit the form online.
Step 7: Download and save the confirmation page, then keep checking the portal for the admit card, entrance test, and further admission updates.
Application, expected results dates
Online registrations will commence on April 1, 2026, at admission.jmi.ac.in. The deadline for applications is May 26, 2026. The entrance exam will take place in 13 cities, such as Delhi, Jaipur, Srinagar, Jammu, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Mumbai, Patna, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Calicut, and Ranchi.
The application window opens on April 1, 2026, and closes on May 26, 2026. Applicants can make edits from May 29 to May 30, 2026. The entrance test is scheduled for June 6, 2026, with Paper 1, General Studies, from 10 AM to 11 AM and Paper 2, Essay, from 11 AM to 1 PM.
The written result is expected on July 10, 2026, followed by interviews on July 16, 2026. The final result is likely to be announced on Aug. 7, 2026, with admission by Aug. 18, 2026. Waiting list admissions are expected on Aug. 25, 2026, and orientation classes are likely to begin on Sept. 1, 2026.

Exam pattern and selection process
The written examination will adopt the UPSC format, comprising two segments, General Studies (objective format) and Essay composition. Candidates may attempt both sections in English, Hindi, or Urdu. The assessment will evaluate participants' general knowledge, analytical skills, understanding, and coherent articulation.
Paper I will encompass 60 objective-format questions, each worth one mark. Negative marking will be done for incorrect responses as one-third of the marks will be deducted. This segment will also feature CSAT-style questions.
Paper II will be descriptive in nature, with two essay questions totaling 60 marks. The full examination period will span three hours. Importantly, only the essay submissions from the top 900 candidates, determined by their Paper I scores, will undergo evaluation.
Candidates who qualify after the written assessment will be invited for an offline personality evaluation (interview), which will bear a weight of 30 marks.

The RCA programme offers coaching in general studies, CSAT, elective subjects, mock test practices, and interview preparation. Students will also have access to a climate-controlled library available 24/7 and dedicated academic support through 2027.
