Samsung has launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A17, in select regions around the globe. A successor to the Galaxy A16, the Galaxy A17 comes with an Exynos chipset, One UI 7, and dual rear cameras, but most of the features have been retained from the previous generation.

The Samsung Galaxy A17 has a price tag of €239 (approximately Rs 24,000 in India) for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant in Europe. It is anticipated to be available in 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration as well. The mid-ranger can be pre-ordered through the Samsung Store.

Chipset And Operating System: Under its hood, the Galaxy A17 has the Exynos 1330 5nm chipset and comes with Android 15-based One UI 7 skin. The device will get six years of OS updates and six years of security patches.

Display: The Galaxy A17 features a 6.7-inch Super Amoled (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. 

Camera: The Galaxy A17 comes with a dual camera setup, including a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro lens. The device also includes a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery: The smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging.

Thickness/Weight: The Galaxy A17 measures 7.5mm in thickness and weighs 192 gm.

Safety/Protection: The device is rated IP54 for protection from dust and water.
