The upcoming iPhone SE 4 might feature a 'dynamic island', according to Evan Blass, who leaked the renders of the device on social media platform X.

A dynamic island is an oval shaped space on top of the screen that displays, alerts, notifications and other overarching features.

Blass' post on X—his account is marked as private—featured design renders of various iPad models, including 11-inch and 13-inch variants of the iPad Air equipped with the M3 chipset, along with the 11th-generation iPad.

The renders were colour-corrected to highlight the dynamic island, according to Blass.

This design choice is similar to the one used in the iPhone 16 series of phones that also featured a dynamic island.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 4 could be the first in the SE series to incorporate Apple’s advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, referred to as Apple Intelligence. These features might include enhanced writing tools, an upgraded Siri with potential integration of ChatGPT, and AI-powered image generation programs.

To support these innovations, the iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to feature the A17 Pro chip, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro, along with at least 8 GB of RAM. This combination would make it one of Apple’s most powerful and affordable smartphones to date.

The iPhone SE 4 will also likely help Apple to remain in the comparatively affordable range of smartphones. This segment is mostly dominated by Samsung and a host of Chinese manufacturers like OnePlus, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Oppo, among others.

Sonny Dickson, another X user, also leaked visuals of dummy models of the phone. According to his post on the social media platform, the upcoming iPhone model seems to feature flat sides, with the volume buttons and a mute switch replacing the previously rumored action button positioned on the left edge along with the SIM tray.
