NTPC Green Energy Ltd. reported nearly a threefold surge in net profit in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25, driven by higher non-core income.
Consolidated profit swelled 188% to Rs 233.22 crore in the January-March quarter, compared to Rs 81 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to financial results released on Wednesday.
Revenue from operation jumped 22.5% to Rs 622.27 crore.
The other income grew from Rs 45 crore in the year-ago quarter to Rs 129 crore during the period under review. The amount includes interest income earned on IPO proceeds deposited with scheduled commercial banks pending utilization.
For the whole year, NTPGC Green's profit rose 39% to Rs 475.5 crore from Rs 342.8 crore in FY24.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy surged over 4% to Rs 108.25 on the BSE, compared to a 0.5% gain in the benchmark Sensex. The stock has fallen 15% since listing in November last year.
