Hero MotoCorp Ltd.'s net profit for the second quarter of FY26 rose 15.7% year-on-year, as per an exchange filing on Thursday.
The auto giant reported its bottom line at Rs 1,393 crore against Rs 1,204 crore in the year-ago period.
The company's revenue also saw a growth of 15.9% to Rs 12,126 crore from Rs 10,463 crore in the second quarter of FY25.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation rose 20.3% to Rs 1,823 crore compared to Rs 1,516 crore in the year-ago period, while margin expanded to 15% from 14.5%.
The motorcycle maker saw an increase in sales and sold 16.91 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters sold in the quarter under review, compared to 15.20 lakh units sold in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal. Since April Hero MotoCorp has sold 30.58 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters.
The Company’s Global Business continued its upward growth trajectory during the quarter with dispatch growth of 77%, three times the industry growth, led by Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Colombia.
"The change in the GST regime has fundamentally simplified India's indirect tax structure and demonstrably improved consumer sentiment. The industry witnessed direct benefits of this policy reform, reflected in strong market performance," Vivek Anand, chief financial officer of Hero MotoCorp, stated.

Shares of Hero MotoCorp ended 0.46% lower at Rs 5,508.50 apiece on the NSE. This compares to a 0.01% advance in the Nifty index on Thursday.
