Operation Sindoor Live: One Of The Nine Terror Camps Was A Training Camp For LeT

During a press briefing, the government explained the importance of nine terror camps.

  • Sawai Nala camp in Muzaffarabad, which is 30 km inside Pakistan, was one of the training camps of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

  • Syedna Bilal camp in POK was a staging area of Jaish-e-Mohammed. It was also a centre for arms and ammunition and training.

  • Gulpur camp in Kotli, 30 km from the LoC, was a base of  LeT. It was a training centre for terrorists involved in April 20, 2023 attack in Poonch and June 9, 2024 attack on pilgrims.

  • Barnala camp in Bhimber is 9 km from the LoC. It was also the centre for handling arms and ammunition.

  • Kotli Abbas, 13 km from the LoC, could train 15 terrorists.

  • Sarjal camp in Sialkot is just 6 km from the international border. Terrorists involved in the killing of four soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir in March 2025 were trained here.

  • Mehmoona Joya camp in Sialkot was a stronghold of Hizbul Mujahideen, a terrorist group. The attack on Pathankot Airbase was planned and directed from here.

  • Markaz Taiba in Muridke was a training centre for terrorists involved in the Mumbai 2008 attacks. Ajmal Kasab and David Headley were also trained here.

  • Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur was the head office of Jaish-e-Mohammed. This was the centre of recruitment, training and indoctrination.

Pahalgam Terror Attack Victim's Family Welcomes 'Operation Sindoor'

The family of Bharath Bhushan, a Pahalgam terror attack victim, welcomed the air strikes carried out by Indian armed forces on nine terror targets in Pakistan on Wednesday and said government has done a good job and that they stay in support of them.

Bhushan from Bengaluru, who was visiting Pahalgam with his wife and three-year-old son, was shot dead by terrorists on April 22. His wife, Sujatha, and their child survived the attack.

"'They have attacked and killed I heard but still some more people are escaping. Government has to take steps to kill them also," he told PTI videos.

Pakistan Went Out Of Its Way To Target Civilian Population In Jammu And Kashmir: CM Abdullah

All schools in border districts of Punjab's Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Amritsar and Gurdaspur were closed on Wednesday in the wake of tension along the border with Pakistan.

The Ferozepur Deputy Commissioner issued an order that all schools in the district will remain closed on Wednesday, officials said, adding that all schools in Pathankot will also remain shut for the next 72 hours.

India Reaches Out To Many Countries Following Operation Sindoor

India reached out to several leading countries, including the US, Russia, the UK and Saudi Arabia, early on Wednesday and briefed them about the military strike it carried out on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, sources told PTI.

The strikes were carried out in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack.

Indian forces targeted the headquarters of the banned JeM and LeT in the missile attacks against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK, news agency PTI reported, citing officials.

Among the nine sites targeted are the JeM headquarters in Bahawalpur and the LeT's in Muridke, both in the Punjab province of Pakistan, the report said.

Airline Services To Be Affected In J&K, Punjab

Airline services are expected to be affected in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, along with Rajasthan, as several airlines have issued advisories. ""Due to the ongoing situation, airports in parts of northern India, including Dharamshala (DHM), Leh (IXL), Jammu (IXJ), Srinagar (SXR), and Amritsar (ATQ), are closed until further notice. "I am monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan closely," said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as he echoed President Donald Trump's comments earlier today that this "hopefully ends quickly". The US will continue to "engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution", he added.

Indian Army's Press Conference At 10 AM

The Indian Army will hold a press conference at 10 am to share further details related to Operation Sindoor. In the official statement so far, the defence ministry has noted that nine terrorist infrastructure bases were targeted in Pakistan and PoK. There was no confirmation yet on casualties inflicted.

The defence ministry's statement also clarified that no facility of the Pakistani Army was targeted.

Inside Details Of Operation Sindoor

Under the operation, the forces hit terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed. Precision strike weapon systems of the three forces, the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, were used in the attacks, NDTV reported, citing sources.

The forces used Kamikaze drones — also known as loitering ammunitions — weapons designed to crash into a target, typically carrying a warhead, according to NDTV.

NSA Doval Speaks US Secretary Of State

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval spoke to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio "shortly after" India carried out missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan early on Wednesday and briefed him on the actions taken, the Indian Embassy in Washington DC said.

The Nine Terror Bases Targeted By Indian Forces

The terrorist infrastructure bases targeted by the Indian forces were located in Kotli, Muzaffarpur, Gulpur, Bhimbher, Chakamru, Muridke, Sialkot and Bahwalpur, NDTV reported.

Strikes On All Nine Targets Successful

The precision strikes carried out by the Indian forces on all nine targets across the border have been successful, government sources told NDTV. The Indian Army, in its statement, said the strikes were executed with precision to hit only terrorist basis. No Pakistani military facility was targeted, it claimed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been constantly monitoring Operation Sindoor throughout the night, top government sources told NDTV. The attack's details were first shared in a official statement posted at 1:44 am.

Operation Sindoor was a tri-service operation involving all three wings of the armed forces, including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy, NDTV reported. The coordinated missile strikes were carried out by all the three forces, it said.
