The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, will visit India on April 8-9 to deepen bilateral ties across key strategic sectors, the Ministry of External Affairs announced on Monday.
"This will be the first official visit of His Highness to India as the Crown Prince of Dubai," the MEA said.
During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan will hold meetings with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. He will also participate in a business roundtable aimed at strengthening India-UAE relations.
The visit comes in response to an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will host a working lunch for the Crown Prince on April 8.
Sheikh Hamdan will be accompanied by several ministers, senior government officials, and a high-level business delegation.
"The visit of the Crown Prince will further solidify the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and strengthen our multifaceted ties with Dubai," the MEA stated.
Sheikh Hamdan is also scheduled to visit Mumbai, where he will engage with prominent business leaders. These interactions aim to enhance economic and commercial cooperation across both traditional and emerging sectors.
Dubai has historically played a pivotal role in India’s commercial, cultural, and people-to-people ties with the UAE. A majority of the approximately 4.3 million-strong Indian diaspora in the UAE resides and works in Dubai.
