Residents in multiple localities across Delhi should brace for water supply disruptions on April 21, owing to planned maintenance work being carried out by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). The DJB issued a public notice on April 17, informing residents of the temporary interruption in service.
Water supply in several areas will be unavailable for a five-hour window, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., due to interconnection work on a key water pipeline. Dwarka will face a long disruption lasting 12 hours, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. the same day.
"Due to interconnection work in 12mm dia Dwarka water main at Ranhola Mod on 21.04.2025, the evening water supply of the following areas will not be available from 3 pm to 8 pm on 21.04.2025 (Monday)," the Delhi Jal Board notification stated.

Dwarka To See 12-Hour Supply Halt
Parts of Dwarka will be particularly affected due to additional work at the CT-4 and CT-6 points of the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant. The supply cut in these areas will extend from morning to night.
"Due to the interconnection works in 1000 mm dia feeder line at CT-4 and CT-6 Dwarka emanating from Dwarka WTP, the water supply in the following areas shall remain affected from the morning of 21.4.2025 (10 am) to evening of 21.04.2025 (10 pm) i.e. 12 hours," the DJB added in the notification.
