The top 10 most-valued firms gained a cumulative Rs 35,716.38 crore in market valuation on Friday, with Reliance Industries Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. emerging as the biggest gainers.
RIL's market capitalisation rose by Rs 49,799.13 crore to Rs 16.86 lakh crore, while that of Bharti Airtel increased by Rs 6,293.9 crore to Rs 9.32 lakh crore. TCS gained Rs 3,473.36 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 13.06 lakh crore.
State Bank of India was also among the gainers, with its market cap rising by Rs 624.72 crore.
Bajaj Finance Ltd.'s market cap declined by Rs 300.21 crore to Rs 5.2 lakh crore, while that of ITC fell by Rs 2,252.11 crore to 5.05 lakh crore.
RIL retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank Ltd., Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., SBI, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and ITC Ltd.
The benchmark equity indices closed flat on Friday, with the NSE Nifty 50 snapping its three-week rout and registering the best weekly gains in three months. The Nifty ended 7.8 points or 0.03% higher at 22,552.5, while the BSE Sensex closed 7.51 points or 0.01% down at 74,332.58.
