Nifty Top Gainers, Losers On July 7: Hindustan Unilever, Nestle To ONGC And Eternal

Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Tata Consumer Ltd., Nestle India Ltd., Eicher Motors Ltd. and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. were among the top gainers in the NSE Nifty 50 on Monday.

Bharat Electronics Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., Oil & Natural Gas Ltd., UltraTech Cement Ltd. and Eternal Ltd. were the top losers in trade for the day.

Marking the highest losses for the day, BEL declined nearly 2.6% during trade on Friday. The scrip closed lower at Rs 417.05. Tech Mahindra ended with 1.98% losses and closed at Rs 1,622. ONGC and UltraTech Cement closed over 1% lower at Rs 241 and Rs 12,345, respectively. Eternal also closed with 1.09% losses and closed at Rs 258.55.

HUL led with 2.97% gains, closing at Rs 2,408. Tata Consumer and Nestle closed with over 1% gains. Eicher shares closed 1.17% higher while shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank also closed in the green marking gains of 1.12%.

Benchmark indices closed flat for the day, with Nifty and Sensex closing higher for the second consecutive session.

However, the Nifty Midcap 150 fell for the second day in a row, and the Nifty Small Cap 250 snapped its two-day gaining streak. Despite this, benchmark indices outperformed broader market indices. Hindustan Unilever and Tata Consumer Products emerged as the top gainers in Nifty.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended only flat at 25,461, while the BSE Sensex closed 9.61 points or 0.01% up at 83,442.
