Nifty Top Gainers, Losers On April 30: Bajaj Finance, Trent To HDFC Life And Maruti Suzuki

The NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.01% lower at 24,334.20, while the BSE Sensex ended 0.06% down at Rs 80,242.24.

Markets ended lower on Wednesday, with Bajaj Finserv Ltd. as the top loser on the last day of the month's trading session. The NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.01% lower at 24,334.20, while the BSE Sensex ended 0.06% down at Rs 80,242.24.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd. and Bajaj Finance Ltd. shares fell the most, shedding up to 5.58% and 5.04% respectively on Wednesday, which saw market volatility. Trent Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd. and State Bank of India closely trailed behind the top losers.

Bajaj Finance's stock may have reacted to a miss on net interest margins. Its stock was higher than expected and profitability was in line with expectations.

Trent reported their earnings on Tuesday, with their profit down 47% to Rs 350 crore. However, it still surpassed analysts' consensus estimates tracked by Bloomberg.

The Nifty 50 declined 0.28% to reach an intraday low of 24,268.80. While the BSE Sensex went up by 0.30% intraday to Rs 80,525.61.

HDFC Life Insurance Co. was the top gainer, adding up to 4.01%, closely followed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. which was up 3.51%. Bharti Airtel Ltd., SBI Life Insurance Corp. and Power Grid Corp. were other gainers on Wednesday.
