Indian benchmark indices reversed their two-day losing streak to end with gains on Monday. The indices surged due to positive signs from corporate earnings, heightened market activity, and favorable global cues regarding tariffs.
In Monday's trade, Reliance Industries Ltd. became the top gainer as the stock gained as much as 5.26% at market close. This was closely followed by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. which gained as much as 3.03% to close at Rs 1,841.60.
The third biggest gainer for the day was JSW Steel Ltd. as the stock closed 2.53% higher, followed by Bharat Electronics Ltd. as it gained 2.5% at market close. The fourth biggest gainer for the day was SBI Life Insurance Co. as it closed by 2.42%.
Meanwhile Shriram Finance Ltd. was the biggest laggard in Monday's trade as the stock declined as much as 5.07% at market close. The scrip closed at Rs 622. This was closely followed by HCL Technologies Ltd. as the stock declined as much as 1.83% at market close.
Third biggest laggard in Monday's trade was UltraTech Cement Ltd as the stock declined 1.01% at market close. Eternal Ltd. was the fourth biggest laggard as it fell 0.7% and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. declined 0.58%
