Nifty 50 Top Gainers And Losers On Feb. 19: From NTPC, Tech Mahindra To IndusInd Bank

Shares of Bharat Electronics Ltd., Hindalco Industries Ltd., Eicher Motors Ltd. and Axis Bank Ltd. contributed positively to changes in the NSE Nifty 50 stocks on Wednesday.

The benchmark indices ended the day in the red as Nifty and Sensex declined for the second straight day. NSE Nifty 50 ended 12.40 points, or 0.05% lower at 22,932.90, while the BSE Sensex ended with loss of 28.21 points, or 0.04% down at 75,939.18.

In terms of sectoral performance, eight out of 12 sectors ended in the green with Nifty Realty, Nifty Media and Nifty PSU Banks emerging as the top gainers in Wednesday's trade. Among the laggards, Nifty IT, Pharma and FMCG declined the most.

Top Gainers

The top gainer for the day was Bharat Electronics Ltd, which gained 3.52% during trade. Hindalco was the next biggest gainer, rising 2.60%. Eicher Motors Ltd. and Axis Bank Ltd. shares advanced 1.77% and 1.61%, respectively.

Top Losers

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. dragged the most, falling 2.44%. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. closely followed with 2.30% decline. Infosys Ltd. and HUL shares were also down 2.13% and 1.97%, respectively.
