Equity selloff by overseas investors eased in October on the back of buying towards the end of the month in a volatile market.
Foreign portfolio investors net sold Indian equities worth Rs 8 crore in October, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd. That's the second straight month of selling after an outflow of Rs 7,624 crore in September.

Overseas investors have sold equities worth Rs 1,68,797 crore in the first 10 months of the year, as global central banks increased rates to contain runaway inflation. FPIs were net investors in August and July with an inflow of Rs 51,204 crores and Rs 4,989 crores, respectively. Prior to August and July, FPIs were net sellers since January 2022.
