Bharat Electronics Bags Rs 634-Crore Orders Related To EVMs, Missile System, Jammers

Bharat Electronics Ltd. has secured new orders worth Rs 634 crore, bolstering its order book for the current fiscal. The new orders, announced on Dec. 9, include a range of defense and technology-related products and services.

Among the major orders are contracts for the maintenance of the Akash Missile System, telescopic sights for guns, communication equipment, jammers, and electronic voting machines, the public sector undertaking said.

The company will also be providing test stations, spares, and other services under these orders, it added.

With these latest additions, BEL's total order book for fiscal 2025 has risen to Rs 8,828 crore, reflecting strong demand for its products and services across various sectors, including defense, electronics, and public services.

BEL, a Navratna PSU, has a diverse portfolio that includes radar systems, missile launchers, avionics, and more, catering to the needs of the Indian armed forces, government agencies, and other public sector organisations.

The company's stock closed 0.29% higher at Rs 314.5 apiece on the BSE on Monday, after it rose as much as 1.07% during the trade. In comparison, the benchmark Sensex declined by 0.25%.

Out of 27 analysts tracking the company, 21 have a 'buy' rating on the stock, three maintain a 'hold', and three recommend a 'sell', as per Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' price target implies a potential upside of 4.5%.
