Angel One Ltd. share price fell to its lowest level in over six months Friday as the company informed about data leakages. The broker was alerted by its dark-web-monitoring partner about unauthorised access to client's data on Thursday. After analysing, Angel One found out that some of the Angel One's AWS resources were compromised.
Angel One told exchanges that it took immediate action and changed all credential of AWS cloud service and other applications. The brokerage has consulted external forensic partner to investigate and validate the impact of the incident and analyse the root cause of the breach, the exchange filing read.
Angel One verified that the data breach doesn't have any impact on client securities, funds, and credentials. Clients' accounts remained secured, the brokerage said in the exchange filing.
Angel One share price fell 4.74% to 2,091.70 apiece, the lowest level since Aug 14, 2024. It pared losses to trade 4.20% to Rs 2,103.55 apiece as of 12:11 p.m., as compared to 1.44% decline in the NSE Nifty 50 index.
The stock declined 26.63% in 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 1.2 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 36.18.
Out of nine analysts tracking the company, six maintain a 'buy' rating, two recommend a 'hold,' and one suggests to 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month consensus price target implies an upside of 34.0%.
