10 Most-Valued Firms Gain Rs 1.42 Lakh Crore In Market Cap, Led By Infosys, Reliance Industries

Infosys Ltd witnessed a sharp gain among the top 10 most valued firms, with a gain of Rs 31,287 crore, bringing its market capitalisation up to Rs 8.12 lakh crore.

The top 10 most-valued firms gain a cumulative Rs 1.42 lakh crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Infosys Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd emerging as the biggest gainers. All the stocks in the 10 most-valued firms ended higher for the session.

The top 10 most-valued firms gain a cumulative Rs 1.42 lakh crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Infosys Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd emerging as the biggest gainers. All the stocks in the 10 most-valued firms ended higher for the session.

Infosys Ltd witnessed a sharp gain among the top 10 most valued firms, with a gain of Rs 31,287 crore, bringing its market capitalisation up to Rs 8.12 lakh crore. Similarly, Reliance Industries Ltd saw an increase of Rs 27,809 crore in its market cap, which now stands at Rs 16.80 lakh crore.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and HCL Technologies Ltd. witnessed significant market capitalisation gains of Rs 22,902 crore and Rs 14,789 crore, respectively. Hindustan Unilever Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd., and Bharti Airtel Ltd. also recorded notable increases, adding Rs 11,254 crore, Rs 8,412 crore, and Rs 7,974 crore, respectively, to their market capitalisation.

State Bank of India, ITC Ltd, and ICICI Bank Ltd followed suit, with their market capitalisation rising by Rs 7,139 crore, Rs 6,380 crore, and Rs 4,905 crore, respectively.

Reliance Industries retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., ITC, and HCL Technologies.

The Indian benchmarks closed higher for the second consecutive day on Thursday and recorded their best sessions since Nov. 22. Both the equity indices saw their highest closing since Dec. 18.

The NSE Nifty 50 closed 445.75 points, or 1.88%, up at 24,188.65, and the BSE Sensex ended 1,436.30 points, or 1.83%, higher at 79,943.71. Intraday, the Nifty had risen 2% and the Sensex 1.9%.

Out of the 30 stocks in the Sensex, only Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. ended lower.
