The board of PNB Housing Finance Ltd. has accepted the resignation of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Girish Kousgi with effect from Oct. 28, the housing financier informed exchanges.
After serving as the MD of the company for close to three years, Kousgi tendered his resignation to pursue opportunities outside, his resignation letter said.
"While the management team is very capable in taking over the mantle with professional ease, I am committed to a smooth transition and will always make myself available to assist in any way possible during the period," he said.
Kousgi will cease to be a director on the board of PHFL Home Loans and Services Ltd and PEHEL Foundation, subsidiaries of the company, from Oct. 28.
He was appointed on the company's board from Oct. 21, 2022, and has over 21 years of experience in the financial services sector.
Previously, he was associated with Can Fin Homes as MD and CEO, Tata Capital Financial Services as head retail, credit and risk, IDFC Bank as executive vice president and ICICI Bank as joint general manager.
