Banks across India are scheduled to remain closed for up to 14 days in February this year due to an array of state-specific holidays as well as weekly offs. This includes eight holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, along with six weekly offs, as per the Reserve Bank of India’s bank holiday calendar.
Banks across India remain closed on national holidays, all Sundays as well as the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Bank closure on festivals varies from state to state depending on the regional observance.
